St. Rita Fiesta Volunteers Needed!

Posted on May 16 2017 - 8:10pm
Time to pick your volunteer shift for the St. Rita Fiesta!
The Fiesta is Friday, June 2nd 5-10pm and Saturday, June 3rd 2-10pm.
We need all of you!  As the largest single parish event in the Diocese of Rochester, it takes over 400 volunteers to make this a success.
Each year Troop 163 sends dozens of volunteers to help run the Fiesta Game Booths and to help out in other areas.  This is another way to say thank you to our Chartering Organization, to earn service hours and to have a ton of fun!
Please follow this link to the Fiesta Volunteer page.
You will have to sign each person up individually.
Typically we'll need 1 adult (to handle money) with 1 scout at each shift.
When you work a shift (minimum of 2 hours), you will receive a $5.00 voucher toward a meal at the Fiesta Food Booth.  The sooner you sign up, the better your chance at a free volunteer t-shirt too.
We are also looking for donations of Beanies, Webkinz, McD Toys, Books, DVDs and Puzzles.  And themed gift baskets for our Raffle.
Please shoot me an email saying that you've signed up and I'll make sure you get the volunteer credit.  Don't forget to use the online service hour tracking form too.
Feel free to contact me with any questions.

Scout Sunday - February 5th - 9:00am Mass

Posted on Jan 22 2017 - 7:55pm
The Boy Scouts of America annually celebrates its founding on February 8, 1910, based on the program started by Lord Baden Powell in England, on August 1, 1907.
On February 5th, at the 9:00 am mass, St. Rita Church invites all scouts and their families to join the St. Rita community in the Eucharistic celebration.  Joining the parish family in worship and serving in the various liturgical ministries displays our unity and joint support of one another.  Scouts who have earned religious medals this year will be recognized during mass.
We will meet in Room 1 at 8:30am.  Full Class A uniform is requested for Scouts and Scouters.  We will process into the church as a group and be seated together.  You do not have to be Catholic to attend the mass and show your support.
Please take a moment now to click the SignupGenius link below and volunteer for one of the many ministries listed.  Also, please register your attendance on the website so we will know how many reserved seats for the scouts and how much food to purchase for the reception.
Please click "read more" to view the SignUpGenius link.
All scouts and their families are invited to a reception in the gym following the Scout Sunday Mass.
Thank you and as always, please feel free to contact me with any questions.
