Scout Sunday - February 5th - 9:00am Mass

Posted by JackTaylor on Jan 22 2017 - 7:55pm
The Boy Scouts of America annually celebrates its founding on February 8, 1910, based on the program started by Lord Baden Powell in England, on August 1, 1907.

On February 5th, at the 9:00 am mass, St. Rita Church invites all scouts and their families to join the St. Rita community in the Eucharistic celebration.  Joining the parish family in worship and serving in the various liturgical ministries displays our unity and joint support of one another.  Scouts who have earned religious medals this year will be recognized during mass.

We will meet in Room 1 at 8:30am.  Full Class A uniform is requested for Scouts and Scouters.  We will process into the church as a group and be seated together.  You do not have to be Catholic to attend the mass and show your support.

Please take a moment now to click the SignupGenius link below and volunteer for one of the many ministries listed.  Also, please register your attendance on the website so we will know how many reserved seats for the scouts and how much food to purchase for the reception.

Please click "read more" to view the SignUpGenius link.

All scouts and their families are invited to a reception in the gym following the Scout Sunday Mass.

Thank you and as always, please feel free to contact me with any questions.

Posted by JackTaylor on May 3 2016 - 7:02pm
Time to pick your volunteer shift(s) for the St. Rita Fiesta!
The Fiesta is Friday, June 3rd 5-10pm and Saturday, June 4th 2-10pm.

Each year Troop 163 sends dozens of volunteers to help run the Fiesta Game Booths.  This is another way to say thank you to our Charter Organization, to earn service hours and to have a ton of fun!

We need 1 adult (to handle money) with 1 scout at each shift.
If you volunteer at least 2 hours or more, you will receive a $5.00 voucher toward a meal at the Fiesta Food Booth.  Sign up early and you will receive a Fiesta T-Shirt as well.

Please email Corinne Kohrt telling her that you've signed up to be sure you get volunteer credit.  Direct any questions to her as well.
Thank you!
